First Overseas Incubator of Yiwu Founded in UK

Recently, the first overseas incubator of Yiwu — IUIA-Zhejiang Technological Innovation Center (Yiwu) European Incubator — was formally founded in the UK.

Sponsored by the International Universities Innovation Alliance (IUIA) and jointly founded by University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and Imperial College London of the UK and Shenzhen BGI Research Institute, the “IUIA European Incubator” is the first two-way investment and cooperation platform established under the support of the Chinese and British governments, a creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship project introducing in famous hi-tech enterprises and well-known universities of both countries, and an incubation and investment cooperation between the two countries that will promote projects in the fields of cultural creativity, financial technology, smart city, and life sciences.

The newly born IUIA-Zhejiang Technological Innovation Center (Yiwu) European Incubator is expected to cultivate more excellent scientific and technological start-ups and achieve a global development. This incubator is also a hi-tech entrepreneurship project of Yiwu in Europe, which will better introduce in high-level innovative and entrepreneurial talents for Yiwu and help Yiwu enterprises with transformation, upgrading, and cross-border development.
